About Familyhood
What
is our mission?
To strengthen the family!
Familyhood is dedicated to strengthening individuals, marriages
and family relationships, by teaching the correct principles upon
which healthy and loving relationships are built.
Our programs help parents break the chain of dysfunctional parenting
and teach them how to create home environments with the highest
potential for developing healthy, capable and loving children.
True happiness and a fullness of joy can only be
found in the tender and intimate relationships of the family.
However earnestly we may seek success and happiness outside
the home through work, leisure activities, or large bank accounts,
we will never be fully satisfied emotionally until we develop deep
and loving relationships.
Who
are We?
The Familyhood Education Foundation is a non-profit
public service corporation founded in 1998 for the purpose
of expanding the work of Dr. James J. Jones, He
is the author of three books on parenting and the creator of the
highly effective parenting program originally called, "Let's
Fix The Kids!".
About
Dr. James J. Jones
Years ago, James and his wife Lillie were happily raising four
beautiful children who excelled in sports, school, scouts,
etc.
Then, tragically, some older kids at church introduced their youngest
son to drugs. As they waded through a hellish nightmare of police,
jail, drug programs, counselors, and psychologists they wondered
where they had gone wrong, Through hundreds of hours of individual,
family and group counseling, James and Lillie found that they knew
very little about raising a family, and realized that good
parenting didn't just happen; that parenting is a science
based upon correct principles.
James went back to school and earned a Masters degree in Marriage,
Family and Child Therapy, and a Doctorate in Counseling
Psychology. Over the years he has given thousands
of hours of individual and family counseling.
With this experience, combined with the knowledge and irrefutable
data from studies, he was able to produce incredibly powerful
parenting programs, such as "Let's
Fix The Kids!", the Kudos! for
Kids system as well as other great books,
and audio and video programs.
